Nautilus launches SVA Platform to combat noise pollution in health clubs

Core Health & Fitness recently revealed an exciting new, technologically innovative product from the no. 1 brand in strength training, Nautilus®.

Called the Nautilus SVA Platform, this solutions-oriented product offers gyms the answer to several issues they currently face.

The Nautilus Sound and Vibration Absorbing (SVA) Platform relieves concerns that are plaguing facilities across the world; noise abatement and vibration absorption. As more gyms fill valuable retail real estate in regional malls and strip centers, these issues increase in intensity. The risks and noise associated with dropped barbells has made heavy lifting a headache for many facilities. Competitor models exist, but gym customers still asked for something that provided real results. Nautilus’ response does just that.

The four-inch SVA Platform is the solution facilities have been waiting for. Composed of layers of shock absorbing rubber and sound dampening foam that reduce the sound and vibrations caused by dropped barbells. Laboratory tests demonstrated an approximate 50% reduction in sound intensity and 50% reduction in vibration.

The difference is staggering, especially for facilities that have rows of racks in close proximity to one another.

"The SVA platform massively reduces the vibrational effects of weights being dropped, ensuring the gym environment remains comfortable for all," explained Duncan Black, Western European channel manager for Core Health & Fitness.

“In buildings where there are potential noise and vibration transmission issues, the SVA platform reduces these hugely and saves the gym owner from having to invest in extremely costly flooring alternatives.”

Available as an option on the Nautilus Half Rack or sold on its own, club operators would be hard pressed to find a downside to upgrading to this revolutionary new platform.
